Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Vendcount service. The service is operated by an individual — no legal entity has been registered yet. The operator will supply the entity name, address, and jurisdiction before these terms bind anyone. By using the service, you acknowledge the terms below.

Service description

Vendcount is a web-based tool that accepts a photograph of a vending machine or micro-market shelf and returns per-column fill estimates based on object detection analysis. All results are estimates and are clearly marked as such.

The service has no accounts, no login system, no saved history, and no email or notification system. Each session is independent. Results are delivered to your browser and are not stored server-side.

No accounts or stored data

There is no registration, no user account, and no persistent storage of any kind. Uploaded photos are processed in memory and deleted immediately after analysis. No photo, result, or personal data is retained by the service.

Billing

Current status: Paid plans are planned but not yet available. No payment is collected today. The Free tier will remain free. This section describes the billing terms that will apply when paid plans launch.

Paid plans

Two paid plans are offered:

— Pro: $10 per month (USD). Includes everything in Free plus higher rate limits, larger uploads, batch upload, and route checklist export.
— Enterprise: $50 per month (USD). Includes everything in Pro plus team views, custom rate limits, and priority support. Custom terms are available on request.

Billing period

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance. The first payment is due at the start of the subscription period. There is no free trial.

Failed payments

If a payment fails, the subscription enters a grace period of 7 days. During this period we retry the charge up to 3 times. If the payment cannot be collected after 7 days, access to paid features is suspended until the outstanding balance is paid. Continued failure after 30 days may result in cancellation of the subscription.

Refund policy

All sales are final. Refunds are not provided for partial billing periods. If you cancel your subscription, access continues until the end of the current billing period. No pro-rated refund is given for the remainder of the period.

Price changes

Prices may change in the future. Existing subscribers will be notified at least 30 days before any price increase. Continued use after the price change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new price.

Results are estimates

Fill estimates are generated by automated analysis of the photo. The technical basis for the analysis is being finalised and has not been publicly disclosed as a specific model. Results are approximate and should not be treated as certified inventory data. The service states the basis for each estimate and uses a "could not determine" status where confidence is insufficient.

The column assignment uses equal-width image division. Non-uniform shelf layouts or misaligned columns may produce incorrect assignments.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

— Upload images that are not photographs of vending machines or shelves (e.g., images containing people, faces, or sensitive content).
— Attempt to abuse the service through automated or high-volume requests (rate limiting is enforced at 1 request per 5 seconds).
— Use the service for any purpose that violates applicable law.

Intellectual property

Vendcount and its visual identity (logo, brand marks, site design) are the property of the operator. No licence is granted for any commercial use of the brand.

No warranty

The service is provided "as is" without any warranty, express or implied. The operator does not guarantee the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any analysis result. The operator is not liable for stockouts, overstocking, or any inventory decisions made based on results from this service.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.

Changes to these terms

The operator may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We recommend checking this page periodically.

Governing law

No governing law or jurisdiction is specified because no legal entity has been registered yet. These terms will be updated to include the governing law and jurisdiction when the operator registers the entity.
