Vendcount is a shelf analysis tool. It is operated by an individual — no legal entity has been registered yet. This policy describes what data the service collects, processes, and retains.

Data we do not collect

Vendcount does not require an account, login, or any form of registration. We do not collect your name, email address, postal address, phone number, or any personal identifier.

Photos you upload

When you upload a photo for analysis, the image is sent to the analysis service over an encrypted HTTPS connection. The image is held in memory only during processing. Once the analysis is complete and the results are returned, the image bytes are discarded. No copy of the photo is written to disk, stored in a database, or retained in any form.

If a photo contains a person (for example, a reflection in the vending machine glass), that image is subject to the same zero-retention rule — it is processed and immediately discarded. Photos are never listed, indexed, or reused as examples.

Rate limiting

To prevent abuse, the service records the connecting IP address temporarily in memory (with a 5-second window) to limit upload frequency. This IP data is not logged, persisted, or shared. It is automatically cleared from memory within seconds.

Cookies and tracking

Vendcount does not set cookies, use web beacons, or load third-party analytics or tracking scripts. There is no session tracking, no fingerprinting, and no advertising.

Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third party. The uploaded photo bytes are processed by an inference server running on the same infrastructure and are not transmitted elsewhere. Analysis results are delivered to your browser and are not stored or transmitted to any other system.

Legal basis

Because no personal data is collected, stored, or processed beyond transient in-memory image analysis, no lawful basis for processing personal data is engaged. There is no data subject to access, correct, or delete — because there is none.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date at the top will be revised. We recommend checking periodically.
